Successful Exhibition Weekend for the Minor Bantam Chiefs
Submitted By Sandi Prendergast on Sunday, October 21, 2018
The Chiefs travelled to Springfield, Ohio last weekend to play an exhibition series with Car Shield (based in St Louis) and the Junior Hurricanes. The Chiefs faced some talented opposition but managed to come up with the W in all three games.  Saturday night we headed to Nationwide Arena for the Columbus Blue Jackets/Chicago game, and thanks to Coach Jason’s connections were able to spend some time with  Boone Jenner, Alternate Captain for the Blue Jackets (and Chiefs alumnus!) as well as Captain Nick Foligno and Pierre-Luc Dubois.  The boys also had a chance to meet Jonathan Toews, who graciously posed for a photo.  Special thanks to Jen and Jeff for getting the boys to the arena in style.
